These are the activities for my problem of practice. I have a Kindergarten French Immersion class and my goal was to use technology to allow them to improve their French skills (mostly spoken) in order to prepare them for Grade 1.
The first in a series of PowerPoints I did with the children on the SMARTboard in the computer lab. Each image appears on two slides. The first slide has just the image, now words. The students were asked to name the object (qu'est-ce que c'est?) and then a volunteer came to the front to write on the SMARTboard using their knowledge of French letter sounds to spell the word out as best as they could. Then we compared with the actual spelling on the next slide.
We made a movie using flip cameras entitled "Où est Madame Spring?" The premise is that I am missing and the kids have to find me. They are practicing their school vocabulary and simple question asking French. They did a great job!

Activities:
1) PowerPoint presentations:

This student wrote "maison."
2) Video Stories:
My students drew stories and then we recorded in VoiceThread, with as much French as they could manage, what their story was about.
Here are 2 examples:
Lucia's Story
Daniel's Story
3) Movie:
We made a movie using flip cameras entitled "Où est Madame Spring?" The premise is that I am missing and the kids have to find me. They are practicing their school vocabulary and simple question asking French. They did a great job!
